Font Licensing

Font Licensing for Document Composition, Mainframe, CCM and Cloud based environs

There has been a change in licensing laws since 2010 to a renewable model for Doc Comp, Mainframe, CCM and Cloud based systems, both tenant level and hosted environments. It is a legal requirement that these licenses are implemented.

Foreign language fonts

With the adoption of Unicode to support digital transformation, the handling of complex foreign languages has become easier.

Most standard fonts are supplied with a standard Latin1 character set, which provides language support for Western Europe, and the Americas. Extended character sets are available for most fonts, covering additional language groups, such as Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Cyrillic (for Russian), Greek, Turkish.

Complex CJK language fonts

We have helped many companies to implement CJK font solutions, so that documents can be created in complex Far Eastern languages. There are many different styles and encodings available. All of the fonts are available in TTF which is compatible with all industry Document Composition systems.

AFP Fonts

These are the proprietary font formats that are still used globally in AFP workflows.

AFP fonts are supplied in either bitmap (240 or 300 dpi) or outline or CID-Keyed formats.
